Supports and stabilizes the lower wash arm assembly in your dishwasher. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn from hard water buildup or age.
Found that the lower wash arm was rotating slowly due to Hard Water build up. Prior to replacement ran an empty load using CLR in-order to breakdown the Lime and Calcium build up. Dishes were 'gritty' with an almost invisible coating of specks smaller than grains of salt. Searched the dishwasher model on ApplianceParts (had used them for a washing machine repair a few years earlier).
