The plastic portion of the vent cover where the cover attaches to the microwave with screws cracked and broke therefore the vent cover just fell off K Lisa K. • Bear , DE • January 11, 2016
We easily located and ordered a replacement vent cover and it arrived quickly. We were able to replace the piece very easily. We also received reinforcement metal clips to go over the plastic areas where the screws attach to the cover. I guess we weren't the only customers who've experienced this issue. Causes of a bad motor-turn can include a faulty motor, worn gears or pulleys, or broken turntable shaft.

After research on the internet I concluded that the problem was the turntable motor making the noise. The repair was relatively easy. Just a philips and a star screwdriver was needed. By simply romving the screws from the bottom of the microwave the turntable motor could be removed andvreplaced. The new motor fit perfectly and the grinding noise is gone.
