The GE clamp and screw kit is an OEM replacement part responsible for securing the dryer blower wheel in place. This kit consists of two clamps and a screw, designed to ensure the blower wheel remains firmly attached to the motor shaft. The clamp maintains the blower wheel's stability and prevents it from coming loose during the drying process. The blower wheel creates the airflow necessary to circulate hot air and efficiently dry clothes.
Over time, clamps and screws can become loose or corroded due to regular use, vibrations, or exposure to moisture. Improper handling during maintenance or repairs can also lead to damage or loss of these small but essential parts.
Symptoms of a bad Clamp and Screw Kit include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Had to remove the front and top panel on the dryer, disconnect the belt and remove the drum. From there it was two screws to slide out the motor assembly with the fan attached and one bolt to remove the clamp and screw kit holding the fan in place. They kit was worn and was allowing the fan to move forward and back on the motor shaft. Once replaced it took about 5 minutes to reassemble and my dryer now purs like a kitten. Read more

The Timer Resistor is an OEM part for GE dryers. It works in conjunction with the dryer's timer to regulate the duration of the drying cycle, ensuring that clothes are dried for the appropriate amount of time.
Causes of a bad timer resistor can include electrical surges, prolonged exposure to high temperatures, or general wear over time. These factors can result in the resistor losing its effectiveness or failing completely.
Symptoms of a bad timer resistor include:
I Replaced the power resistor. The old resistor had a small burnt spot and tested infinity for resistance. The terminals were too small so I had to make new connector. Any 5000 ohm ceramic filled resistor would have worked also. Read more
The Flame Sensor is an OEM part for GE dryers. This part detects the presence of a flame in gas dryers, ensuring that the gas ignites properly for safe and efficient drying. Causes of a bad flame sensor can include regular wear and tear, carbon buildup from the gas flame, or electrical malfunctions. Symptoms of a bad flame sensor include:
GE Gas Dryer Model DBVH512GF1WW began to heat for only a short amount of time so drying clothes took WAY too long. Read online that the first thing to replace are the solenoids. Bought the two solenoids from AppliancePartsPros.com for about $50 total, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Had to watch a few videos to learn to disassemble the dryer, and the job took a couple of hours, but now that I know what I'm doing it could be done in less than 30 minutes. Also, the old solenoids tested... Read more
This dryer motor kit powers the drum and blower. Replacing a weak or failed motor restores proper tumbling and airflow so the dryer starts reliably and dries loads more evenly.
Replaced the motor with a new one, if I can offer any advice about doing this job, make sure to keep track of where each wire goes on the motor and whatever wires need to be disconnected. There are a few good video's online showing how to do this job and can save you a lot of time and frustration. Read more
The Push to Start Button is an OEM part for GE dryers. It is the button that initiates the drying cycle when pressed, allowing the dryer to start its operation. Causes of a bad push to start button can include wear and tear over time, electrical issues, or physical damage due to frequent use. Symptoms of a bad push to start button include:
Replaced the knob and it works perfect now Read more
The Power Terminal Block is an OEM part for GE dryers. This component serves as the connection point for the dryer's power cord, distributing electrical power to the various internal components of the dryer. It ensures that the dryer receives the proper electrical supply needed for its operation.
Causes of a bad power terminal block can include electrical overloads, corrosion from moisture exposure, and loose or frayed wiring connections. These issues can lead to improper power distribution or complete loss of power to the dryer.
Symptoms of a bad power terminal block include:
Had to replace power cord and entire terminal assy. Read more
The Heat Diffuser is an OEM part for GE dryers. It is designed to evenly distribute heat throughout the dryer drum, ensuring efficient and consistent drying of clothes. The heat diffuser helps maintain proper airflow and temperature inside the dryer.
Over time, the heat diffuser can become worn out or damaged due to high heat exposure, lint buildup, or mechanical issues. Regular use and lack of maintenance can also contribute to its deterioration.
Symptoms of a bad Heat Diffuser include:
Removed 3 screws which required a torx bit. Used small headless nails to line up the holes and use as a guide for sliding on new diffuser. Put screws in one at a time and tightened down. rotating the drum helped with slight mis-alignement with the screw holes. Read more
The Drive Motor Kit is an OEM part for GE dryers. This part powers the drum rotation during the drying cycle, ensuring proper tumbling and airflow for efficient drying performance.
Causes of a bad part can include normal wear and tear over time, bearing failure, or electrical issues that prevent the motor from functioning correctly.
Symptoms of a bad Drive Motor Kit include:
I could hear the dryer motor hum, but it would not run. There was nothing obstructing the motor from turning freely so I assumed I needed a new motor. I went ahead and ordered a new pulley switch to change out while I was in there just in case. The parts arrived faster than expected. I changed the switch first and then checked the old motor which surprisingly fired right up. Now I have to decide whether to return the new motor or keep it as a spare. Read more
This replacement part is a high-limit thermostat, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This high-limit thermostat is typically found in dryers and controls the heat inside the drying tub. This is especially important as different dryer settings require different amounts of heat. If the high limit thermostat works properly, the temperature inside the tub should reach the correct amount during each drying cycle with no issues. A new high-limit thermostat might be needed if the user notices that the dryer is unable to reach the appropriate level of heat for a certain drying cycle. This is also true if the dryer is becoming too hot when the heat is supposed to be set to low. Make sure the dryer is cooled down prior to replacing this part as the areas in the back of the dryer can become very hot during use. Be sure to reference the specific user manual for more instructions on how to replace the thermostat. This thermostat is sold individually and is a genuine OEM part. The thermostat is sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Hi-limit thermostat. L210.
Replaced the high limit safety thermostat. Ordering was easy, and the part came quickly. The video on the web site was helpful, although I was not able to follow the instructions fully. Unless you have super skinny, long arms, you cannot reach under and around the dryer tub to reach the belt tension arm. I ended up having to remove the side panel of the dryer to remove the belt from the motor. Replacing the thermostat was simple enough. At this point, it seems to have corrected the... Read more
This replacement blower wheel for a dryer mounts to the drive motor and pulls air through the drum, lint filter, and exhaust, restoring proper airflow so loads dry efficiently and the appliance runs as intended. What it does:
Mounted inside the dryer drum, this replacement baffle lifts and separates laundry as the drum turns to improve airflow and even drying. Replacing a cracked or missing baffle restores quiet, effective tumbling and helps prevent fabric damage. What it does:
I ordered two new baffles and 7 screws. I also ordered 6 large washers. We were running with one baffle held by only 2 of 3 screws. It appears that a repairman in the past had removed the large washers and over time, the screw heads reamed out the hole, causing the baffles to detach and break. In about 15 minutes, I was able to tighten up the existing baffle and add the two new ones. I also added the 6 big washers to help strengthen this to prevent future issues. I no longer have to listen to... Read more
