This is a French spring, or French divider door spring. It is used in refrigerators. This part allows the doors to open and close. It is located in the door of the fridge. A new French divider door spring may be needed if the door is stuck or is coming off of its hinges. This repair requires only a standard household toolkit. To replace the spring simply remove the old one and replace the part with a new, working piece. Be sure not to bend the spring while installing it as it will not fit in as the replacement part. This is a genuine OEM part. It is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. This specific French Divider Door Spring is compatible with appliances made from General Electric.
Ordered the spring and plastic liner from Appliance Pro's. No tools were needed to install the spring and liner, but it did take a little patience to get it installed. BTW, I ordered the part from Appliance Pro's in the evening and received it in the mail two days later. They were incredibly fast! They were excellent and one of only two or three places on the internet that carried the correct parts. Read more

Set the old flip panel window aside (the flip panel is more pliable without the window). Insert the new flip panel (without the flip panel window). Once in place carefully snap the "old flip panel window" in place. No tools were needed to install the new flip... Read more
Water filter head and tubing assembly holds the water filter and connects the water lines to the water filter. Approximate dimensions: 10.5" x 10.4" x 4.6"
Changed the water filter head. Ordered late on a Friday, item arrived on Tuesday. Since this is my second time to have the filter head replaced (1st time was a $350 repair bill from service repairman), so I knew how to do it. Took all of 30 minutes to change and have water flowing once again from dispenser. For those who want to do this, there are some good youtube examples to look at. Also on youtube is a quick temporary fix for the main issue this unit has. GE/Samsung should step up on... Read more
