The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Replaced the hinges and all parts pertaining to hinges on the refrigerator door. Total cost was approx. $83 and it took 1 hour this morning (Saturday). Now the door is closing tightly. The refrigerator is 10 years old. GE brand. Read more

Tried buying a new filter, still no flow, bought the bypass cap, still no flow. I then purchased the filter housing assembly and within five mins or receiving the part had full flow restored.
