This bottom door hinge supports the refrigerator door and serves as the pivot point for smooth opening and closing. Replacing a worn hinge restores proper alignment and sealing to help prevent door sagging and cooling loss. What it does:
- Supports the door's weight at the lower corner and maintains alignment
- Provides the pivot for opening/closing and reduces friction at the door base
- Wear can cause door sagging, rubbing/binding, or the door not closing fully
- Misalignment may lead to poor gasket contact, warm spots, or condensation/frost near the door
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and, if applicable, shut off water before starting
- Remove items from the door and have a helper support it during removal
- Remove the upper hinge to lift the door off the lower hinge; retain any shims/spacers
- Swap the hinge, transfer shims as found, align the door, tighten fasteners, and verify the gasket seals all around

Noisy evaporator fan Jason L. • Barnegat , NJ • August 02, 2025
The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Parts cost around...

This electronic main control board is the refrigerator's central controller. It manages cooling and defrost operations so temperatures stay consistent. Replacing a failed board restores normal performance and reliable operation.
- Regulates cooling by controlling the compressor and fan motors; failure may cause warm temperatures, no cooling, or intermittent cooling
- Manages the automatic defrost cycle; failure may lead to frost buildup or an ice-covered evaporator
- Distributes power and coordinates key components; failure can leave fans or the compressor not running or cause constant running
- Interfaces with temperature sensors and user controls; failure can trigger error codes, clicking/beeping, or unresponsive controls
What's included: 1 main control board assembly Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the refrigerator before servicing
- Use anti-static precautions; handle the board by the edges and avoid touching components
- Photograph and label wire connections; transfer plugs and secure all connectors fully
- Mount in the original location/enclosure and ensure wires are not pinched by covers

Broken dial chill pan Matt B. • Wellington , FL • August 22, 2015
There was no repair video for this fix so I had to figure it out myself. I removed all the shelves out of the refrigerator, then the light cover. The air vent cover lifts up and out from the bottom(reason why I removed all shelving. Then I took out the broken dial pan chill which just snaps in to the control arm. Replaced everything and then put the knob pan chill on.

Ge cafe freezer fine fridge not Rusty D. • Gallatin , TN • November 15, 2018
The short... Our GE refrigerator has a dual evaporator. Which means there is an evaporator in both the freezer and the refrigerator. So inadequate cooling in the refrigerator is most likely not related to the freezer at all like it is with models that do not have dual evaporators. After extensive research, diagnosing and testing I was able to determine that the refrigerator evaporator thermistor was not working properly. I replaced all four thermistors (two in the refrigerator and two in the...
