This is a grommet and it is intended for use on refrigerators and freezers. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. A new grommet might be needed if the current one is visibly worn out or damaged in any way. If there are noises from vibration coming from the lower back area of the fridge there might be need for a new grommet. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer, and it is sold individually. It is compatible with refrigerators and freezers, or units with a compressor and is made by General Electric.

The auger gearbox shaft had a spot that was stripped of threads which prevented the auger drive from spinning the ice down the chute. I replaced the auger motor/gearbox assembly, the auger drive as it had to be cut off the shaft, and the 3 mount bolts that hold it all in place.
