I remove the burnt melted rack holder and replaced it with the new one I ordered. I watched the how to repair on YouTube and was able to remove it with a pair of pliers and install the new rack holder. It was very easy to install. Read more

The microwave worked sporadically. Sometimes jiggling the door worked or multiple opening and closings. The final straw was when the microwave turned on by itself while I was washing dishes. It was unplugged until a repair could be made. I opted to replace the entire door switch assembly rather than individual switches since this is a more cost effective approach. Ordered the new motor and upon arrival, installed it. The only concern I had was that the motor I ordered was not specified for this model (Panasonic), but for a General Electric. (I could not locate one specified for the model I had). However, the specs for the new GE motor were exactly the same, so I took a chance and as it turned out, worked out well. Read more

This was much easier than I expected. First and foremost discharge the capacitor, google has the instructions. The diagnosis was also easy, really just 3 parts, the Magnetron, the Capacitor, and the Diode. With a simple multimeter measuring the resistance I was able to determine the Magnetron had shorted out and the diode was bad. I replaced all three components which fixed my issue. Read more
