Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. I searched online for a replacement broiler support. I did not know what the part was called so initially searching was a little difficult. However, appliance parts pros made it easy to find the correct part; their onlne pic matched my part and I was comfortable purchasing from them. It shipped and I received it quickly. By GE. This electric range terminal block assembly includes the ceramic block, the metal mounting bracket, the mounting screws and the two contacts (Contacts not avalailable seperate). Fits GE and HotPoint ranges where a ceramic terminal block is used. Its recommended to also check and replace the surface elements if needed. Matching surface elements: 6 inch element order WB30X218. For 8 inch element order WB30X219.
