The compressor was very hot and did not appear to be running. You could here a relay click on and off 15sec cycle. repeating every 2 minutes! Bought a new overload relay too repair, plus a new thermal protection switch because it was cheap. Both parts are actually located on the compressor behind a plastic cover. After talking with Samsung and getting the part # I was able to find it quickly and for less money here. Installation is pretty simple. Unplug the unit first. Use painters tape on fridge to prevent scratches. Remove the one Phillips screw from the under side. I used a painters tool to pry out the panel. I you flip the new one over you can see where the prongs are. Pop the water spout out of the clip and slide panel out. Disconnect the electrical connection ( it has a push lock fitting on... I only chatted with the online customer service rep. They were very friendly and helpful. According to my complaints the inverter to the unit was bad. According to the other blogs the relay or inverter was the problem. The part arrived the next day. I installed it and presto it is fixed. Samsung repair people are so hard to find.
