You can't buy the heater by itself, but you can buy the assembly with the heater. It's very easy with needle-nose pliers to straighten the fins, and remove the heater from the assembly, took less than 10 minutes to cut the wire ties, straighten the fins, and remove the heater. Once the refrigerator was defrosted, it was easy to then remove the broken heater and replace it, took about 30 minutes including defrosting with a hair dryer. Unplug the freezer and let the ice melt. Unscrew the back panel (6 screws, two have caps on them). unplug the heater. Pull the bottom of the cooling coil forward. Remove the heating pan and the wire from the right side. Install the new heater making sure you put the bottom looped wire back in the drain hole. Put the panel back on and you are done. I used foil tape to re secure the pan. None comes with it. Read more
