Washer won't advance cycles or stops mid-cycle? Timer controls cycle progression. DIY repair if timer knob doesn't advance washing stages properly.
The most challenging part of this was determining what the problem was. At first I thought the clutch (or related parts) had worn out, but by chance, I pulled on the timer knob, and the machine started spinning. When I let it go, it stopped. So clearly the spinning part worked. Then I watched a few videos about repairing a bad timer and determined that it was the likely culprit. I ordered the part. It was very simple to replace. And it worked perfectly. Saved me hundreds either in... Read more

21-inch drain hose extension for washers. Extends existing drain hose when original is too short to reach standpipe. Includes clamp for secure fit.
Ordered a new drain hose and extension part. The prices including shipping were more reasonable than driving back and forth to the store just to piece meal parts together. Very frustrating. Fixes grinding noise or basket won't spin issues by disengaging the brake during spin cycles. Restores smooth operation when cam wears out or breaks.
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in... Read more
Secures wiring harness to washer top panel. Replace this clip if original is broken, missing, or no longer holding wires firmly in place during operation.
Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. After some trial and error, I located the screws which were 5/16 hex head screws and removed them with a MAGNETIC nut driver. (The magnet assures that the screw will not drop down into the mechanism). Second, I... Read more
Replacement inner tub spin basket for washers. Holds clothes during wash and spin cycles. Replace if cracked, rusted, porcelain coating damaged, or worn.
Replaced the Inner Tub Basket. We watched the video, ordered the parts, and swapped out the basket in a breeze. We were very surprised, and pleased, with how easy the repair was. Fix a washer that won't fill or agitate properly with this 3-circuit pressure switch connector. Simple DIY repair in under 30 minutes with basic tools.
Watched on line Video. Only problem was in disconnecting wire "bus" connector from switch. I was unable to remove connector without damaging it. I "jumped" connector to prove switch was faulty. This also allowed my wife to continue to do laundry while part arrived. I ordered a 3 circuit connector, but this was not the correct part. I ended up removing 3 wires from old broken connector and attaching them to new switch without a connector. Electrical tape did the trick. Not perfect... Read more
