The Fan Switch has been discontinued so had to look for a replacement. NO ONE had a replacement. Found a use appliance store that had one still in a bag. Purchased it. While changing the switch I noticed that the heat indicator were cracked. I was very surprised with the age of the cook top that these were still available. I ordered a Window Pac and a new oven door seal for this project. Our oven is 25+ years old and still works...I wasn't sure how easy or hard this would be, so initially I delayed ordering these parts for three weeks! I read up on 'how to' approach taking the door apart...and once I put two large nails in each hole on the door hinge, I was confident I could do this. I had a friend watch the video and do the work. There was a problem in that the screws were rusted to the back plate and would not screw off. My friend had to use a drill to drill through them to be able to remove them. He had to go to a hardware store to buy a new set. Once we had the new screws it went fairly quickly. Now our oven works great just in time for baking season. Read more
The door of the Jenn-Air W141 simply pulls up and off, so the parts of the hinge that broke (snapped at the rivets; clearly the weakest point!) fell out. Turns out you only have to remove two screws from the front of the oven body to remove each of the two hinges, then pull it out the front! Simple! I ordered these hinges, they fit perfectly; unfortunately they didn't come with screws so I used the screws from the old hinges...they did NOT fit perfectly - slightly different thread pitch. Oh...
