I had the whole washing machine apart and went through it all before ordering parts. Tear down and assembly was easy. I just took my time. The washer is 17 years old and was well built. GOT TIRED OF ICKY CLOTHES AND SMELLY SHEETS AND PILLOW CASES, SO ORDERED PARTS TO REPAIR SLIGHTLY DAMAGED MACHINE. BROKE SOME PARTS ON IT WHEN IT TIPPED OVER MOVING IT ONE DAY. HAD EPOXIED TIMER TO INSIDE OF MOUNT CAUSE BROKE OFF TAB EARS AND SCREW DOWN PAD WHEN IT FELL. WORKED THREE YEARS THIS WAY UNTIL IT WOULDN'T AGITATE ON RINSE CYCLE. USED HOT AIR GUN TO BREAK EPOXY BOND, CLEANED UP AREA, MOUNTED NEW TIMER SWITCH. PUT ON NEW END CAPS, PAINTED A FEW SCRATCHES, AND PUT DOG KIT IN AGITATOR....
