Replaced clutch assembly which was a little tricky, but very doable. Just make sure to take your time. I do have to say that I am very impressed with AppliancePartsPro customer service when the replacement part also failed. A new clutch assembly was at my door step a few days later. Agitator was not turning Edward M. • Glen Allen , VA • March 10, 2019
I had to replace the drive shaft and the lower agitator. The motor coupling was also worn out. The repair was challenging because I had to rebuild the gear box. This step was really messy and I had to wait for the liquid gasket to set prior to completing the repair. Cleaning and prep of all of the parts tripled the repair time.

The Screw is an OEM component compatible with Whirlpool washing machines. This screw secures the rear bulkhead to the tub, ensuring vibrations are reduced through solid mounting points. Properly installed screws dampen oscillating movement.
Causes of a bad screw include damage from water exposure like corrosion or breakage from stress concentrations if the tub bangs around during imbalanced loads.
Symptoms of a bad screw include:
- Loose or detached rear bulkhead allowing side-to-side play
- Excessive noise and shaking felt through the surrounding walls
- Development of micro-cracks around screw holes over time
- Potential leak paths if holes are no longer sealed
This Whirlpool replacement screw restores a stable suspension system. It is compatible with additional brands like Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Kenmore fh error code Michael H. • Cataula , GA • January 18, 2015
I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly. I pulled the washer out and found that one of the fill hoses had kinked when I pushed the washer back in place. There was also some writing on the hose that read "Change hose every five years". I know I had...

This brake release cam works with the washer's brake assembly to disengage the brake during spin and re-engage it at stop. Replacing a worn cam restores smooth basket spin and reduces squeal or grinding at spin transitions.
- Disengages the brake so the basket can spin; helps reapply the brake as the cycle ends
- Supports smooth starts and stops of the spin cycle
- Worn or damaged cams can cause no spin or intermittent spin
- Common symptoms include loud squeal/grinding at start/stop or a burning odor near the brake area
What's included: 1 brake release cam Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and water supply, if moving the washer) before service
- Access the brake/basket drive area; the brake spring is under tension—use caution and eye protection
- Note orientation of parts before removal; seat the new cam correctly
- After reassembly, run an empty spin test to verify operation

No spin every thing else worked made high speed ticking noise Anthony D. • Follansbee , WV • May 12, 2015
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in...
