The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge. Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. I replaced the water level switch and hose. After removing the hose, I found that it was clogged, and did not allow the water level to be sensed by the switch. A test after the replacement of the parts was successful. While filling the tub, the water shut off at the small, medium, and large levels as indicated by the switch. Read more

The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. I ordered a new mode selector and new tub bearing. Upon disassembly, I noticed that the plastic outer tub had actually heated up around the tub bearing and tub seal area, such that the new tub seal did not fit tightly. I ordered a replacement outer tub, and reassembled all the new parts. During assembly, I installed the new tub seal upside down, but recognized it while re-watching the how-to video. Replaced the hub nut, tub bearing split ring, tub seal, hub washer and agitator coupler. I watched multiple times the APP video. It was extremely helpful and I would not have attempted this without seeing the video. I had a lot of trouble getting the hub nut off. I used an 1 5/8" 6 point strike box wrench and a 4# hammer to get it off. I sprayed it with WD 40 5 or 6 times over of the course of a week to let it soak. I finally got it off. Piece of cake...replaced bearing support and bearing glides. Video helped. Only issue is unclear about what glides need to be ordered and where they go. Had to look at another sight video. Grey glides go on top and nylon glides go on each side at the bottom. So you order two grey and two white glides. You also need a TORX driver to get the control panel free. So this and a Phillips Head #2 screwdriver and you are home free. Read more
