This 6-inch drip pan sits beneath a plug-in coil surface element to catch spills and reflect heat. Replacing a stained or warped pan refreshes the cooktop and helps the element seat properly. What it does:
- Installs under a 6-inch plug-in coil element to collect drips and boil-overs
- Reflects heat back to cookware for consistent heating
- Supports and aligns the element so it sits level in the cooktop
- Common signs to replace: heavy discoloration, rust, pitting, warping, or a burner that won't sit level
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and let all surface elements cool completely
- Lift the coil element straight out of its receptacle; remove the old pan
- Align the indexing notch and seat the new pan; firmly reinstall the element
- Verify the element is fully engaged and level before restoring power

Just took out old elements and then old pans. Replaced all 4 pans followed by 4 elements. Had to adjust element leads to get a secure level fit. Looked like a new range top when completed. The job was completed in less than 15 minutes.
