Main Control Board Parts

Just removed from front and the console. I wound up replacing the control board because the technician that I had come out said that's what was wrong and it would cost $250 to fix. I replaced the control board and it didn't fix the problem. After doing more research and searching out the error codes, I discovered I had to replace the console. so i did. I went to appliancepartspro.com and found out that the problem could be the main circuit board. I went on and ordered the part, knowing it could be returned if necessary, but it was like music to my ears when I installed the part, myself, and turned the power back on. Easy. My Advantium worked fine except the clock and cooking instructions were dim and bounced in a circular pattern over the left side of the display. I tried unplugging it and once or twice that seemed to help. When I finally decided to take the control panel off I had a difficult time until I saw an old remark from a 2009 forum discussion from a guy that said there were about a dozen screws to remove to get to the control panel. First I replaced the flickering digitron after reading elsewhere that it may be just a weak display. The new digit on was still flickering but a little differently. Our oven was still working with either display until suddenly it wasn't one morning. After finding AppliancePartsPros and reading that others had to go further by replacing the transformer and power boards, that's when I looked closer at those parts. The circuit board under the machine needed replacing. Pretty easy if you are willing to not force it in. Two screws, four all different plugs, two guide holes for the wiring. I bought a latch but did not need to install it. Read more

I replaced the belt and the pump. It now works like it is new again! I am glad that I purchased the belt installation tool. It made replacing the belt very easy. I also purchased the Control Assembly which I did not install. It wasn't needed to repair the washer but I will keep it in case it is needed for future repairs. Searched the web and determined it was something called a noise filter. Ordered the part from ApplianceParts Pros. Received it in about 3 days, normal shipping. Replaced the part. Took about 15 minutes from start to finish. Problem solved. Cost less than $50. Read more
