• Leaking

Cut off old connector and attached new one. Was very easy. But then the water line sprung a leak above the connector. Once on, the connector can't be removed, so I had to order another connector (paying shipping again), cut away the connector and leaking section of hose, then reinstall the new connector. All very easy, just annoying. Shipping was very fast so it made it easier to deal with. Read more

Roll out fridge. Remove left half of ceiling facia. Label all wiring harnesses before disconnecting because some have he same number of pins which could lead to sadness if interchanged Slide ware connectors upward to release from water filter and lower water solenoid. Slide hose out by pushing from interior toward back. Reinstall by reversing steps. Putty knife is used to pull upper facia forward then pull downward. 3 clips near front then a row in the back. Replaced water line to ice maker and installed redesigned p trap drain. I watched the installation videos and my wife and I easily completed this project. One thing that I want to add for others. When the ice maker supply was leaking, it filled the funnel in the ice maker with an ice block. I had to remove the ice maker(which is pretty easy) and defrost the ice block before reinstalling the supply line. If I had not, the water would have poured into the ice bin. Read more

I checked the water supply to the solenoid valve and it was okay, but no water was getting passed the valve. I checked the 115 vac signal from the ice maker to the valve and it was present. Unfortunately I did not know to depress the white fitting on the outlet of the valve to release the line to the ice maker so I cut it, and had to purchase a replacement. I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly. I pulled the washer out and found that one of the fill hoses had kinked when I pushed the washer back in place. There was also some writing on the hose that read "Change hose every five years". I went in through the lower back of my Whirlpool bottom-freezer refrigerator, found a duck-bill end on the existing drain tube, and removed it. Less than a cup of water was released into the evaporator pan. I didn't need the drain tube I bought - and replacing it would have involved getting into the interior wall inside the freezer, which would have been a LOT more work. I replaced the valve that turns the water flow on/off to the door and to the ice maker. It was allowing water to seep internally past it's seals. Replacing the valve solved both problems. Simple job, no more than 10 minutes start to finish.. Read more

Watched u tube video. Ordered replacement water inlet valve and new hoses. Dismantled washer and replaced defective valve and installed new hoses. The repair went very easily and the washer worked perfectly as a result. Read more
