My son told me that almost all the microwave ovens that came into the repair center he worked at, 15 years ago, had a defective magnetron. I ordered a magnetron, and sat back until one shipped. The one that came, the first time, was in a small factory cardboard box, which was in a large bubble-pak Fedex envelope; which didn't show any signs of abuse. Ordered door latch part and new spring. You Tube video helped me identify what I needed. I tried the fix recommended and it didn't work so I ordered the parts. It took less than 5 minutes to switch out the old for the new. If the door doesn't latch, you can't run the microwave and it's key. It wasn't an expensive or hard fix to get my microwave up and running again. So pleased with AppliancePartsPros for having what I needed and being reasonable about pricing. I have a multimeter so I was able to check the fuse per website recommendations and it was blown. However, the capacitor on the microwave was also original so I elected to replace the capacitor, fuse, and the ground protect diode. The repair was very simple (making sure the capacitor was discharged before replacing) and the microwave is now up and running again. I googled the make and model, and found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com. The underside of the oven has a metal grille with numerous openings of various shapes and sizes. There is a rectangle that is punched into this grille, just below the motor. I pried between the vent holes to snap the connections near the perimeter on the punched rectangle.
