My Tappan Range, which I paid a grand total of $65.00 for, and have been using since Katrina, (Katrina in 2005 is how we measure time in South Mississippi.) I live in an old house, and I am old, too. Last winter was the coldest I can remember, and my husband (older than I and far more hard-headed) used the oven like a heater. I read all user's manuals, because I use only used stuff, I can download the manuals or read them online, and it clearly stated in there NOT to use the oven as a... Read more
Replacement bake element for the lower oven. This is the primary heat source in Bake mode, restoring reliable preheats and even results when the original element fails. If your oven won't heat or underbakes, this part addresses the issue.
Very simple to fix this problem and took only a few minutes. Appliance Parts Pros has the best delivery service. I ordered the part about 2pm and the part was delivered at 11am the next morning. I live in the Atlanta area so delivery is probably faster than other areas but they always ship the same day if the order is placed before 5pm. I have used App Parts Pros several times over the last 5 years and have always been very satisfied with the service and the parts. Read more

This pressure regulator controls gas flow to the range valve, helping maintain steady burner operation for safe, consistent flames. It replaces a worn or failed regulator to restore proper gas delivery and reliable ignition performance. What it does:
Researched online for a solution and found someone who described a similar problem. Their solution was to replace the gas pressure regulator. So I decided to order one and try it. Easy to replace in my case - less than 30 minutes. It SOLVED the problem. Burners light almost immediately now! Saved the cost of a service call and the prospect of replacing the entire cook top. The Hinge Assembly is an OEM part for Frigidaire ranges. This part allows the oven door to open and close smoothly while providing a secure attachment to the range body.

Symptoms of a bad Hinge Assembly include:
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.
I replaced the hinges. The door just slides up, after opening it slightly. Each hinge is held by three screws, and has a spring hooked to the inboard end. After removing the screws, I pulled hard on the hinge, to get the spring hook exposed. The long tang, on the spring, allowed me to hook the new hinge onto the spring, before unhooking the old hinge. This is important, since losing the spring into the abyss is a pain to correct. I reinserted the hing, installed the three screws per side,... Read more
