- Engages the drive shaft/splines to create agitation
- Replaces a damaged or worn agitator to maintain wash performance
- Common symptoms: no or weak agitation, clothes not moving, visible cracks, wobble
What's included: One agitator assembly Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the washer before servicing
- Remove the fabric softener dispenser and cap, then the center hold-down bolt
- Pull the old agitator straight up; align splines and seat the new agitator, then reinstall and tighten the bolt
- Reinstall cap/dispenser and run a short test cycle

Stripped agitator Wayne L. • Burleson , TX • March 08, 2015
My wife noticed that our washing machine was making a terrible rumbling noise and seemed to be out of balance all of the time. She was on the verge of calling a repairman when I said I wanted to look at it first. I noticed the agitator was very loose and would spin in your hand. I removed 1 bolt and the agitator was out. The teeth in the agitator were stripped out so by simply ordering a new agitator and installing it I turned a $250.00 repair call into a $70.00 DIY fix. Thanks.
