Ed J for Model Number 253.58687897 The blade on spiral shaft has disconnected from the shaft and will not dispence ice. Can the part be replaced or do I have to purchase the whole ice container?
Answer Ed, You do not have to replace complete bucket assembly in order to replace the drive blade 241684503. You may also want to check the ice auger screw 241716101 to ensure that it is not damaged as well. Just keep in mind when you remove the blades from the ice bucket to pay close attention and even possibly mark them and the washers as to how they come off and go on.
