Rob for Model Number FGHS2655PF4 Replaced water filter and water inlet valve. Still not making ice. I poured water into the ice maker to try to see if that worked. It dropped ice from the water poured. Checked water line for kinks. There were none. Water does dispense from the door with no problem. Any ideas? Also, what should the freezer be set at? My numbers are 1 thru 9.
Answer Rob, the freezer should be set to where it is at 0°F when measured by a thermometer. As the icemaker was able to harvest when water was set into it, was there a humming that came from the valve after it dumped the ice? If not, the failure would be in the ice maker 241798231.
