Tom for Model Number wcvh6800j1ms I have a G.E. washer model #wcvh6800j1ms manufactured in 2009. It has a self-system check, when start is pushed, the door locks, the drum turns for 1 or 2 seconds, then after a little bit, it fills with water. My problem is-when I push start, the door locks, but no drum turn or water. I have tried to get the machine into service mode but can't. The tech sheet says press signal-delay-signal-delay, within 30 seconds of plugging machine in. I assume this means the signal button (washer signals audibly when done. volume can be raised or lowered), and the delay start button. I do this with the washer plugged in, both with the power on and with power off. I've also pressed just the signal button, waited a couple of seconds, then pressed signal again. Nothing works. I don't get any error or diagnostic code. I turn the knob to different cycle settings and try same things. Nothing, does it matter if the water to the unit is turned off or on? I've tried it both ways. Can you figure out a way that might get this machine into service mode? I'm thinking it's either the water inlet valve, the motor, the motor control board, or possibly the main control board (panel). Is an inverter the same thing as the motor control board? There is a roundish rectangular white thing right near the motor control board with wires going to the motor control board and the main control board. What would this thing be? could it be the problem? It is about half the size of the motor control board. I've spent a lot of time, research and work on this machine and am very frustrated. I'm hoping you can help. I don't want to buy one part, find out machine doesn't work, buy another part, machine still doesn't work, and keep going like that. The orange coils I can see inside the motor look great. Also, this has happened several times in the past, most notably in the winter. There is very little heat in my basement. When the temperature would get warm, or when I would heat my basement up, I could usually get the washer to work. In the spring and summer, I do have a problem with moisture and humidity in my basement.would this have any effect on the machine? Even if it's the motor, shouldn't I still be getting water into the machine? thank you.
Answer Tom, With the issue that is going on with your unit, it is most likely not going to be a motor issue but would be a issue with the main control board. The part number for the board is WH12X10468. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 12, 2015
