Peter Riker for Model Number LG LDS5040ST Hello, our dishwasher sometimes stops during the rinse/drain cycle after making a binding up sound, then flashes OE on the screen. Soap is left in the bottom after regular washing, and not dissolved. I have already checked for blockages in the filter, could I just replace the entire sump/pump unit as a whole or am I better off replacing individual parts? Thank you.
Answer Peter, The "entire sump/pump" assembly is available AJH31248608 / AJH31248608, if you want to replace it. But, the OE error code indicates a drain issue, ".OE error Not fully drained out in spite of 5 min. drain cycle." You may want to check the drain hose and disposal for restrictions or clogs. Remove and check or replace the drain pump EAU61383518 / 4681EA2002H, and check that the "check valve" in the drain opening isn't blocked, deformed or broken and blocking the opening. The undissolved detergent could be due to a slow/inadequate fill water level, and or the hot water isn't hot enough to dissolve the detergent(120 dgrs.F. minimum). Read More...
