By: Whirlpool
Part Number: OEM18035283
Manufacturer Part Number: WP8182119

The Bellow Tub Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This part acts as a flexible seal between the door and the drum of front-loading washers, preventing water from leaking out during operation. Note: The clamps do not come with the seal. For clamps order W10902779 and WP8182210

Causes of damage to the bellow tub seal often include regular wear and tear from frequent use, the buildup of detergents and chemicals that can degrade the material over time, and physical damage from overloading or from objects caught between the door and the drum.

Symptoms of a bad Bellow Tub Seal include:

  • Visible cracks, holes, or tears in the bellow
  • The accumulation of mold or mildew
  • Water leakage from the front of the machine
  • Clothes getting caught or snagged in the damaged areas of the bellow

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Hello Lee. If you are needing the clamp, you will need to order WP8540108. If your needing the beelow, you will need to order WPW10381562. Three screws secure the washer top at the back of the washer. Remove the three screws and lift the top from the washer. Disconnect the Touch Pad/LED Assembly ribbon connector from the left side of the Central Control Unit (Fig. 4-5) and release it from the wiring harness brackets on the right side of the washer top. Remove the detergent dispenser drawer by pressing down on the release tab at the back of the drawer (Fig. 4- 6A) and pulling it completely out of the washer. Once the drawer is removed, remove the screw in the recessed hole next to the drawer opening. Release the tab securing the right side of the console to the washer. Open the washer door and place a flat-bladed screwdriver into the slot in the bottom center of the console. Push the console up to release center console tab. Be sure the ribbon cable clears the cabinet frame. Ease the edge of the boot off of the lip of the washer front near the door switch. Next, remove the three screws securing the toe panel to the front of the washer and remove the toe panel by lifting slightly and pulling forward. Remove the two screws securing the bottom of the front panel to the washer, and the two screws securing the top of the front panel to the washer. The front panel can now be removed from the washer. The boot can be completely removed from the outer rim of the tub assembly. Carefully pull the boot from around the water inlet and window washer tubes. Remove the boot retainer clamp by loosening the clamp screw located at the upper right of the tub opening. The boot can now be removed from the tub. Hope this helps.
