Bryan for Model Number Jenn-Aire JGD8430 I resealed this cooktop and replaced a burner but now, none of the screws tighten the burners down to the glass. Did I forget something?
Answer Bryan, Can't think of anything you may have missed. The gaskets WP74010652 WP74010776 were set on the orifice holders before you placed the glass cook top in place. Check the screws WP8273062 to make sure the threads weren't damaged or stripped. Check the orifice holders screw holes for damage. On occasion, you need to use a finger or small hooked tool, and pull up on the orifice holder very carefully to align the burner base and orifice holder to start the burner base hold down screws then carefully tighten all the screws, you don't want to shatter the glass.
