Jim for Model Number Kenmore Elite HE 3t washer Washer is 10 yrs old, the other day it started giving me error codes, SUD and F02 and wouldn't drain, if I ran it in Express mode it would work. then it stopped draining in the Express mode, if I left it sit for about an hour an then run in Rinse & Spin mode it would drain, now it doesn't drain at all, makes a humming noise, and when I try to use the control panel to cancel it locks up and I can't even open the door, it will not reset even if I hit the cancel twice it keeps trying to run, I have to unplug it and then plug it back in and hit cancel real fast to get it to shut off and unlock the door.
Answer Jim, You will need to check the drain pump, drain pump filter 280187 and the drain hoses for clogs and debris. You will also need to check the air pressure hose WPW10004260, disconnect it from the water level switch WPW10514214 and blow in the end of the hose, this will usually clear any sediment or debris that has accumulated in the hose, and replace the water level switch. In order for the machine to unlock the door and the machine to shut off, the washer control has to "see" that the washer tub is empty, if the water level switch is still registering water in the tub (SUD or F2) it won't.
