Tom for Model Number mdb7809aww2 Unit wouldn't start, but had panel lights. Then I removed and reinstalled door latch, result = no panel lights at all. I checked the bimetal fuse, it passes a voltage. I checked the power cord and connections seems ok. So I put in new control board and door latch, still no panel light. Suggestions?
Answer Hi. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Find the supplied tech sheet behind the lower kick plate or under the control board. The hot wire from the junction box is black. It goes up to the door switch. Once the door is closed the switch sends it to the non-resettable thermal fuse part # W10258275 then to the L1 terminal tab on the control panel on the black wire with the white stripe. Verify voltage at the board at this point P6 and at the P2 connection that has the white w/blue wire. If there is no power there then replace the thermal fuse. Thank You. Read More...
