John S for Model Number Kitchen Aid KFCS22EVMS4

I need to replace the right side (as you face the refrigerator) plastic hinge for the Deli Center cover. It snapped off when I accidentally closed the refrigerator door with the Deli Center drawer open. Based on your answer to Bernard (above), I believe I need to order the endcap AP4365313 which has the slide thermostat control on it. However, the diagram for this part does not seem show the hinge. Can you tell me if (1) AP4365313 is the corrent part that I need to order and (2) is it something you believe I can replace myself?

Answer

John, You may want to check the deli drawer cover WP12656822, as well. The hinge pins are part of that assembly. And the pivot point is part of the endcap WPW10122078. Once you remove the crisper drawers and shelf, then the deli drawer, it's a pretty simple and easy repair. unlock and slide the drawer rails off the endcap, remove a couple of screws holding the endcap to the wall, Disconnect the temperature shifter rod from the air diffuser and remove the assembly.
