Jim for Model Number GEW9200LW1 My electric Duet dryer spins and blows air but there is no heat. I measure 120 V from the Red heater lead to ground but 0 V from Red/White lead to ground when disconnected from the heater element. I measure 120 V from Red to ground and 120 V Red/White to ground when leads are connected to the heater element. I measure 0.01 ohms across the heater element. What is faulty component(s)?
Answer Hi Jim. The element needs 240 vac. 120 vac from each side. Element part # WP3387747. There is a wiring diagram supplied with the tech sheet inside the cabinet. All thermal fuses need to be closed part # 279973. Thermal fuse part # WP3392519. Along with the motor 1m (red) wire output from the motor centrifugal sw. Motor part # 279787.
