Gerry for Model Number LAT9206BAE Once the spin cycle picks up momentum tub goes out of balance. Could it be belts as machine is 11 years old and they are original. They seem fairly loose, when squeezed in middle the two sides touch. When rubbed, the belts give off black smudge to fingers. Took front panel off, everything underneath seems clean, no obvious signs of issues.
Answer Hi Gerry. Remove all power. You can slide adjust the pump 5/16" bolts so when you squeeze test the belts, you have at least 3/8"-1/2" of gap with the motor fully pressed out with tension. If the belts are throwing off the debris's then it is a very good time / sign of replacing. The belts are part # 12112425. Check and clean with alcohol the floor and foot pads where they grip the floor. The pad part # is WP210684. Level the legs and lock the upper leg nuts locked up tight up against the base. Then release the top spring clips and lift the top. Unclip the top tub cover and see if there is any small clothes bunched up in between the inner/outer tub ( use a flashlight). They will get there with an overloaded situation, stopping the tub. Let Us know as if we can help you further. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 17, 2011
