Richard for Model Number LAT9206BAE The agitator does not create turbulence or suds in the water. The agitator base moves back and forth ever so slowly but with force. It is not slipping. The spin cycle works fine. Could the belts be slipping or is the problem in the transmission?
Answer Hello Richard. You will want to remove the belts and try to manually turn the pulley. When you turn it one way, it should turn the tub with it along with a little friction when your turning it. Turn it the other way and it should turn the agitator with almost no resistance. If you have resistance when turning it while it turns the agitator you will have to replace the transmission. If everything turns fine, look at part 205000, to make sure it's centered on the base.
