How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP5325798 / 00705174 Pump And Motor Assembly

Had to pull it out from the cabinet, flip on its side (expect water on the floor). Old part came off and new part went on easily. Pulling and reinstalling the dishwasher is harder than replacing this part. The old part did have the single use clamp mentioned in the video, but I was able to cut through it with some large wire cutters. (Not small ones - this thing is thick.) Now washing better than it was before the pump broke. For anyone who needs it: My old pump had a catastrophic failure between head and rotor shaft, nothing wrong with the motor itself - the whole plastic part just broke. Resistance across any two of the three wires into the motor was about 12-14 ohms in both the old and new pump. 

Replaced the pump. Found ground wire not hooked up on dishwasher. Fixed that then replaced the pump. Little bit of work getting it out but got it done. Dishwasher runs good now.

Initially I went for the low hanging fruit of replacing the inexpensive covers for the failing equipment. Then it became clear that the heating unit that is attached to the Pump and Motor assembly was failing. I ordered a new one, and a Drain Pump and Turbidity sensor to cover all my current and potential future problems because I didn't want to pull that machine out ever again. Once the parts arrived, I reviewed AppliancePartsPros' videos and composed my own procedure for replacing the lot. I had few problems with the actual replacement procedures and it now works as intended; at least for the first two washes. 

1. I tested the water inlet valve and there was no continuity. I then bought the water inlet valve and replace the the bad unit for the new part. 2. I then place the dishwasher on an express wash cycle to see if the water inlet valve was working. I did see water entering the dishwasher tub by observing the water inlet housing. I let the cycle run for 5 minuted but did not observe the spray arms moving after opening the door. 3. My next step was to test the pump and motor housing unit. There was not continuity on the pump connector but the heater unit did not continuity. I bought the pump and motor housing unit and replaced the old unit for the new unit. I then ran an express wash cycle and after five minutes; I opened the door and noticed the spray arms moving. 4. Problem fixed. The Appliance Parts videos were spot on to help with the repairs. The store prices are very competitive with other online appliance websites. 

Figured out the leak was from the motor assembly. Replaced the Pump & Motor Assembly and now it works fine. No leaks. The video was exactly what I needed for my model dishwasher and made the repair easy. 

Purchased & installed reed switch (water meter) & heat pump. I used the video as a reference which helped quite a bit, but it still took a while. Most importantly the parts fit, the error codes disappeared, and the dishwasher works again. 

Followed instructions in the video. Went very well, just as described.
