How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP7193108 / 10023852 Water Inlet Valve

Bosch error codes fickle. I searched Youtube for potential reason for the diversion. It seems Bosch sensors will direct water to the bottom pan to trigger the float and cause a shutdown, but not identify the true cause. There was a plumber on Youtube addressing the E15 code. He opens with "Oh an E15 code, that's a bad water supply valve. I searched the replacement and found it was only a $30 part and then watched him replace the part. It was simple enough and $30 versus NJ plumber rates, it was worth a shot. Found the Bosch OEM water valve at AppliancePartsPros for $23 (+$50 from Bosch) plus a little for shipping. It was here in 2 days. 15 minutes and the old part was out and new was in. I ran it on Speed 60 to test the part. It worked fine. I threw a load in and ran it full cycle. Worked fine. 5 loads later, I'm convinced the water valve was the troublemaker. 

Saw a video from AppliancePartsPros.com on how to replace the water inlet valve for the specific dishwasher. It went seamlessly. 

Bought the inlet water valve from AppliancePartsPros.com and watched their video. Disconnected the water line to the part and removed it from the back of the appliance. Disconnected the electrical connector and tubing and replaced with a new valve. Prior to pushing the dishwasher back in place, ran the machine to ensure proper operation and most importantly free of leaks.

Did a quick search on what the error code meant. Took off the front kick panel to see the under side of the dishwasher & located the malfunctioning part. Found this site & was able to use the diagram to find the exact part. Price was great & shipping was lightening fast. The video on how to replace it was a huge help! Replaced the water inlet valve, got the under side all dried out & water sensor reset in maybe 20 minutes…give or take. This site made the repair super cost effect & easy!! Huge thank you!! 

Removed the dishwasher, found the leak causing the code. It was at the water inlet valve, Knowing that AppliancePartsPros.com has helped me in the past with parts. (Just for background, I sold appliances for many years and have sold thousands of Bosch dishwashers so was quite familiar with them, but this one stumped me.) 4. Went online to look at articles and videos about "watertap" code. 5. Found GREAT video showing how to diagnose this issue and what potential problems could be involved. 6. After reading and watching online posts by some folks who had similar problem, and finding not enough water in the dishwasher to make the sprayers spin. I determined I needed a new water inlet valve. I ordered from and replaced the water inlet valve per the video on AppliancePartPros.com. Part was delivered very quickly. Though I'm pretty handy, the video made a big difference in easing my concerns about what was required to perform the task. Well done! 

First, I learned from an online Youtube video what Error Code 15 meant and proceeded with locating the water leak within my dishwasher. Next, I watched the repair video by AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered the replacement part. I followed the instructional video but I did not have to disconnect the drain hose from the air gap. I fully installed the dishwasher before running a test cycle to confirm that the appliance was fully operational again. If I were to carry out this repair again I would run the test cycle before reinstallling the appliance in case of any leaks due to improper installation. 

Repairman was 1 week out, so off to YouTube. After opening up the dishwasher, I could see a small drip from the intake valve, so I found my way here to order a new one. I installed it, with some difficulty, and the leak was still there. Oh, supposed to replace the intake hose each time you take it off. A new one of those, and now the leak is gone.
