The repair requires removal of the ice/water dispenser housing. Pull the power plug on the fridge before you start. Remove the 3 screws under the drip tray, push up on the face plate and it will come loose and hang suspended from the cable. Next, remove the 3 screws holding the ice and water dispenser module in place (be careful of the printed circuit board). Once that's done, you have to remove the screws and small holding plates on the actuator pivot arms. Hint: a head light, small magnetized Philips head screw driver and a pair of long needle nose pliers will save a lot of angst.
After you remove the 2 plates and screws, you can jockey the whole module forward and up just enough to remove the remaining piece of the broken actuator. You will need to note the placement of the old actuator because you will need to work the replacement into the same exact position. Your camera phone and the parts diagram from APP will also help. Carefully replace the 2 plates and screw them in. They hold the pivot arms in place. Push the module back in to position and screw it in place. The last step is to replace the face plate. Hope this is helpful.
