How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5803894 / 241537103 Cold Control

Replaced the Cold Control Thermostat,Defrost Thermostat, Defrost Timer, Starter and the Capacitor. This did not fix my problem. The Evaporator Coil is still not getting frosted like it should, my problem is probably a leak in the closed system or a blockage in the part. At 300 dollars and the 200 for the other five parts it is becoming not worth the repair. I hope all of you out there can fix your issue with these simple first five replacement pieces. By the way I spoke to a woman named Robin in the service department. She was wonderful to talk and deal with, her knowledge and professionalism was exceptional with all of my troubleshooting questions. Hopefully she will get this feed beck from me. Replaced cold control. 

I noticed that when I turned the temp control to Max Cold the refrigerator cooled down to "acceptable level". I went to manufacturer website (Frigidaire), to acquire the factory part numbers. Then did a google search using the part numbers which took me to this website. After reviewing the videos and troubleshooting info on this website, I purchased the Cold Control Unit / Defrost Thermo / Compressor run capacitor. All three "just in case. Paid extra for the expedited shipment. It arrive on time, and the part was the exact factory replacement. However still came in cheaper than purchasing directly from the Factory and Much cheaper than paying a professional. Replaced only the Cold Control unit, reset the temp control back to "Mid-Point" (factory setting) and after approx 2 weeks, everything is working as intended. Easy swap, the instructional "How To" made the swap easy. Literally a flat tip screw driver and 1/4 nut driver (as noted in the video)...15 mins labor, done deal. Nice to see a DIY video featuring my exact brand.
