How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5802695 / 807545704 Console Assembly

Replaced the console assembly 

After googling to get an idea of the problem and possible resolution, I found this website. I actually requested a live chat to see if they thought I needed both the control panel assembly and the control board. The representative felt replacing just the control panel would fix it. I received the part the next morning! I was able to change out the part by myself in about 20-25 minutes. Truly, the hardest part was getting the dishwasher door cover back on! It's held on with 2 tiny screws so it was tough holding the door in place while tightening the screws. I actually watched s YouTube video on replacing the part, however I couldn't find my exact Frigidaire model. It didn't matter. I was able to get the general idea and had no issues. So excited I was able to save $$$ on labor! I highly recommend appliancepartspros.com! 

Replaced control console 

First with the advice of a sales person, purchased the control board. It was the wrong part, then I purchased the console assembly and success! Now I am praying that they accept my return of the board and issue a refund. 

The repairman I called didn't want to travel, but he told me it was an easy fix, and what to order (actually from a different site, but they didn't carry the part for my dishwasher. It was easy to find the Control Assembly on this site, though!) I ordered it on late Tuesday afternoon, and it was at my door by Wednesday at 4 pm. I swapped it out on Thursday morning. Had to remove the door and disconnect everything from the control panel to swap it out. Took pictures to help me if I had trouble reassembling, but I didn't. The hardest part, like others, have said, was getting the door lined up and back on. That probably took 30 minutes of the 45-minute repair and drove me crazy, but I managed to get it done. Girl Power! And, since the part was about $200, I was glad to do it myself, as the repair would have probably been about twice that. It was also much less expensive and much faster than getting a new dishwasher. I was also lucky to have the right head for the screws that hold the control panel on...It was like a star shape, I don't know what they are called... 

Checked here at the online forum and figured out it was probably the control panel. It was! Pretty simple fix. 

Replaced control panel. Pretty easy. Removed door panel. Removed the display. Tried to pull it out but it pushes out. Removed push-button panel and unplugged unit. Replaced the unit, replaced display and re-cabled. Did not loosen screws on the latch. It latched before I was finished installing the door. Had to go through the cleaning cycle to get it to unlatch. Reinstalled door panel and it worked just fine. This is apparently a common problem with Frigidaire Gallery dishwashers. 

Trouble code told me exactly what the problem was. It was a simple swap of the part using a screwdriver. Thanks to error code, I didn't have to pay someone to install something I could do myself.
