How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6892592 / 137005000NH Control

I used a specialist to actually fit the part, but he suggested we order the part ourselves. We saved $150 doing it this way. 

After locating a service manual on the internet, I removed the control board. The trickiest part was figuring our what the correct replacement part is. My washers control board had since been replaced by a new part number and that part number was also replaced by a newer number. A little internet searching led me to the correct part. Installation was a breeze. 

New control board. 

Replaced the main control board. Works as normal now. Total work time approx 30 minutes. 

Replaced the control board. 

Total success 

Replace the control board by removing the top cover of the washer. 

Pro sugested possible bad locking switch,this was not the problem. then pro's sugested the controlboard, this did repair the problem. thanks parts pro's. 

Ordered the new part "was shipped very fast" took top cover off of washer and front panel very easy only took a few minutes 

Replaced the control board as a last effort to save the washer with the phantom error code. Wasn't too difficult, works just fine now.
