How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5318915 / 297370600 User Control Board

Replaced with Control Unit purchased from you. 

We ordered a replacement door module. It arrived two days later. Unplugged the freezer. Popped out the old module. Put the new one in. Up and running, perfectly. All in under 60 seconds! Couldn't have been easier. 

I consulted with an 'Expert' from AppliancePartsPros.com to confirm my diagnosis. I purchased the part and received it 2 days later. I unplugged the old one, plugged in the new one and my freezer came back to life. It was a beautiful thing. 

Ordered a new Control Board and plugged it in 

I unplugged the freezer to reset it at first and that worked for a while. Sometimes I could push the reset button and that would work. After a few days it was beeping non stop yet the freezer door and freezer itself were both working great. I searched the internet and determined that a control board was most likely the problem. It was. No more problems. 

Replaced control board, fixed it immediately. 

Replaced the control panel/control board. 

Changed control panel- it was crazy easy and took less than a min. 

I found the Appliance Parts Pros website after submitting my problem to Google. Several very helpful stories of the same problem were found. The following answers provided by appliance pro technicians confirmed the issue and how it needed to be solved with the correct part. They also show the very helpful original appliance parts manual. They also recommended using a surge protector to possibly prevent this problem from reoccurring. I ordered and received it by mail in two days! My $600 freezer works again! I researched online and found that control board issues were a common problem for my freezer. I ordered the part and replaced it, and now my freezer works perfectly again! It was simple to replace. It only required a screwdriver and about 5 minutes time.
