How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3886714 / 134550800 Washer Door Hinge

I ordered a new outer door panel and replaced it. The only recommendation I have is to clean any plastic residue from the screws that hold the outer panel to the inner panel. I did not clean up the first screw on the reassembly and it broke the plastic screw mounting holes when tightening the screw. 

Got the part in a few days and installed it with no issues. 

Your videos helped me with a dryer repair, so I checked to see if you had videos about replacing the washer door. The video showed how easy it was. I bought the parts, the door exterior, interior, and hinge. 

Unscrewed the hinge from the machine then took off all the screws around the door then pulled out the old hinge and popped in the new one and rescrewed all the screws back the door is still not lined up perfectly with the machine don't know why. 

I changed the Hinge and the Door Lock Assembly and Door Strike Piece. It was so simple and in 30 minutes I had it running again. It was a huge relief, and I was proud to be able to do it myself. It was very rewarding. There are videos online that make it so simple. 

Followed the video instructions and had to pry up the inner door frame from the door using a flat head screwdriver. Both mounting tabs on the door panel were broken off. I decided to continue the repair and my door works just fine now. 

Replaced hinge. Utilized parts diagram to figure what screws to remove to disassemble washer door. Easy fix. 

I ordered a new hinge for my washing machine, and it came in two days. I tried to do it myself but I couldn't get the screws out of the old hinge. Have no strength??? I had a gentleman come in to help me. He removed the screws & the hinge came off. He removed the door, and put the new hinge on. All while watching the video that was provided by the company ( great asset). He put the door back on. & now my machine works perfectly. Saved me money on a repairman. As a senior citizen, every little bit helps.
