How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4433236 / 316489403 Gas Range Oven Igniter

Watched your video on repair, ordered the part, replaced the part tested the oven, everything worked A OK, put it all back together and job done, Mother happy as she can bake pies again. 

Replaced the lower oven ignitor which solved the problem. Very easy to replace by following the steps on YouTube. Total time 15 minutes. 

Replaced the ignitor. The new part was an exact fit, works fine now. 

Followed the easy DIY video. This was the second time that I changed the igniter in this oven. First was from a different company using off brand parts that required the connector to be spliced in. That was the point of failure. This was the factory replacement so it worked like a champ. 

Replaced the oven ignitor. It was really easy to do except for the screws on the bracket that holds the ignitor - they completely stripped their threads when I tried to remove them. It was a real struggle to get them out. 

Oven igniter replaced. Have to take the power cord cover off the back to get to the harness to unplug the part (not in any video I watched) 

I replaced the gas valve thinking that was the problem but that was not the fix. The bake igniter was not drawing enough resistance to let the gas valve open. After replacing the igniter the burner did lite. Had to adjust the orifice on the gas valve for LP fuel. 

Replaced igniter, ordered part and received it the next day. 

Purchased and installed a new igniter. I chatted with customer regarding the correct part to buy and luckily she asked if I needed a 6inch or 14inch long igniter. In my internet research I had only seen the 6 inch option so I'm very grateful she asked me because I would have bought the 6 inch and of course I needed the 14. 

Put in the new part.
