How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4433236 / 316489403 Gas Range Oven Igniter

I watched videos on how to fix it. 

Replaced the oven ignitor. 

I took out the burner in the lower part of the oven and cleaned it. Took a paperclip and ran it in the orifice and put in a new igniter. I had intended to just clean everything but taking out the burner, I broke the fragile end of the igniter. I'm not sure what fixed the problem, but it heats up as quickly as it did when it was new. 

Replaced it.

Watched the video that was on the same web page as the part. Video told me exactly how to replace the part. Purchased the part and replaced it. 

We replaced the oven ignitor. 

At first, I thought the ignitor was fine because I could see it glowing. I thought it could be the electronics since the ignitor seemed to work. The closest Frigidaire repair shop couldn't get to me for over a month. After a little reading, I found out that the ignitor can still glow but doesn't draw enough current to enable the gas to the burner. I took the chance that it was the ignitor and not the electronics. The AppliancePartsPros.com video was very easy to follow. The part was an exact match and very easy to replace. The hardest part was disconnecting the ignitor connector from the stove. I used a small thin blade screwdriver to release the connector after looking at the new one to see how it latches. The only thing I needed many may not have is a square head nut driver which fortunately I happened to have. 

Replaced the Gas Oven Ignitor, and relatively easy repair especially is you watch the YouTube video! 

I determined it was the igniter and by replacing it, the oven, (gas) works great.
