Since I hadn't found the Tech Sheet for the washer (which there should be one inside the top cover) I simply thought I'd buy the drive motor (and a new belt, a.k.a "cheap insurance"). Installed the motor once I'd received it from AppliancePartsPros, the washer worked a couple of cycles then gave me the same "SrV CLL" message. I didn't know how to access the error codes on this model but found the info in the Tech Sheet, so I checked it and got an E53 code. Since I'd replaced the motor already, I purchased and installed a new motor control board. Problem solved!
A side note: the Tech Sheet also tells how to check the motor's leads with a multimeter to see if it's "bad". I checked my "old' motor, it tested "good", so now I have a 7-year-old "backup" to keep for future issues . . . . haha! Rookie mistake . . . .
Thanks, APP for the videos and repair help info! My local appliance repair guy, who I've not had to use on this stuff, is now aware of your site and all the helpful info it contains! He WELCOMED the info!!!!
