Lewis I Auburntown , TN May 22, 2021 Blown circuit board for oven. I called appliance parts pros after no success with other service companies. Brandy answered and asked for my part number. I gave her the number but she said that wasn't a real part number. She told me likely places to look for it and I finally located it and sent her a picture of the part and serial number. She located the part but nobody had the plastic cover in bisque so she recommended the black which really looks good. I got the parts in a couple of days and it was really a plug in the new wires and we were fixed, 15 minutes at most. Brandy really knew her stuff. I would use them again. Read More... Edward A Orlando , FL March 23, 2020 Appliance: Model 790.92423302 The control board blew up (i heard a loud pop and saw a brief flame come up on the left hand side of the stove) I removed the back top panel of the stove and took out the board. Something good to do which I did was to take a picture of the wiring in case you forget. I had to remove the actual board from the black "frame" in order to confirm that it was burnt/blown. And by the way I looked it up on YouTube to see what was wrong. Once I confirmed it was the same issue as what was on YouTube, I ordered the control board and paid $4 extra so it would get to me in a couple of days. The overlay that has the labels for the buttons is separate and is way overpriced but it is needed. I installed it and when I plugged in the stove nothing happened and it so happened I tested the outlet and there was no current. I checked the main switch and it got tripped when the board blew so I turned it completely off and then back on and then there was current. I plugged the stove in and then it worked. Overall a very easy fix and saved me a lot of money. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Socket Set
Roger A Valencia , PA December 07, 2018 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE FEFL77ABA F1 error code Unscrewed the top back plate with a small nut driver and removed the controller with a phillips screwdriver (I used a 6-in-one for both). I replaced both the controller (AP3693959) and faceplate (AP2126499) at the same time rather than try to peel off the old faceplate. Before purchase, I was concerned my oven's 15 pin connector would not match the two 6 pin connectors on the controller. Here's how it goes: Plug the large 15 pin connector in matching up the first pin on the far left of the left 6 pin connector and it spans across both 6 pin connectors and works fine. There are three unused pins in the 15 pin connector at pin numbers 7, 14, and 15 (counting from the left). Pin 7 spans the bridge between the two 6 pin connectors and pins 14 and 15 extend beyond the right side of the right 6 pin connector. Take a picture of the old one before removal if you need to. Also, there are two unused spade terminals below the Bake-Broil-L1 spade terminals that do not get used on the new board. Hopefully, this new controller is more robust and does not fail in the FULL-ON condition as did the original board! Read More...
