How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5690431 / A00126401 Drain Pump Assembly

Ordered the part from here and paid for next day shipping. Ordered in the evening and got the next morning by FedEx. I also ordered a flapper valve and didn't know where it went. There was a helpful video showing where it went, it did need to be replaced, the other one was bent. Arrived in great condition. Fixed the problem. also cleaned out some of the other parts as it was taken apart. The dishwasher works great now. Wonderful ppl to work with. 

Replaced drain pump assembly, which was very straightforward. Needed a torx screw driver but otherwise no special tools. The hard part was some quirks to the way my particular dishwasher was installed - couldn't remove the dishwasher completely unless I disconnected its hard-wired electrical cord. 

Replaced the drain pump and unclogged the partially clogged drain hose. The difficult part was to remove one of the pump screw, which was too close to the motor. 

I was able to ohm out the pump and trouble shoot it to the pump. I ordered the pump and had it fixed in 30 minutes. The part was here in 2 days!! Great quality and excellent arrival time. 

Ordered drain pump from Appliance Parts Pros. It came in two days and after watching the video it was fairly simple to install a new pump. Not so easy to get dishwasher out of the cabinet. 

Replaced drain pump. Replacing the pump took a minute. Pulling out dishwasher and then re-leveling took the longest. 

Replaced drain pump. 

I replaced the drain pump,door gasket ,door seal and drain hose. 

Removed and replaced the drain pump. 

Replaced water pump. Difficult part was that one of the three hex screws that secured the water pump was not accessible with a hex head screwdriver. To remove the screw, I had to use a small allen wrench whose path was also obstructed such that I could only turn the screw 1/8 of a revolution.. Dishwasher worked perfectly after pump was installed.
