How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3958752 / 154579101 Door Spring

I figured it was the door tension springs. After entering my dishwasher model number and viewing the video I sent for the recommended parts. They arrived 2 days after I placed the order as promised. The repair took about a total of 20 mins, and went exactly as shown in the video. Great service, and because of the video I was sure I was getting the correct part when compared to what I saw on my dishwasher. This will always be my first stop for appliance parts. 

Replaced door cable and fixed the problem

Replaced spring 

The only difficult part was lining the dishwasher up to screw in the top screws. Other than that not a bad repair anyone should be able to do. Find a DIY video and follow the instructions. Most instructions say unplug appliance, I found that was not necessary for this fix. You do have to disconnect the water supply and discharge line of the dishwasher. Don't forget to turn the water off before disconnecting. 

Checked you tube. Saw the videos. Ordered the parts ( I have a handyman rating of 3 on a 10 scale) . Looked at videos, followed directions and fixed door in about 1 1/2 hour. Folks I fixed this dishwasher and was sure I needed a new one. 

New ones. 

Changed door springs and replace all door seals and gaskets. I found that the repair video on each repair part was very helpful.
