How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5736381 / 5304491941 Refrigerator Compressor Start Relay Kit

I thought it might be timer module but after checking wiring schematic I found that condensor fan and compressor were on same circut. My condensor fan was running when compressor was not and I rulled that out. I used a DVOM to test ohms and amps draw and they were normal. I ordered a starter kit. Installed that and that fixed the frig. Thanks.

Replace parts 

Purchased the Compressor starter kit, Very easy to replace, Parts fit with no problem, Within 10 min, the refrigerator running and cold. 

Perfectly. As always, the “how to” videos associated with each part ensure that I ordered the correct part on the front end and am able to successfully replace the broken part when it gets here. This is the third repair on my current fridge and saving me thousands of dollars not having to buy a new fridge. 

Move the fridge to expose the back, unplug, remove the back cover. Pulled out the old run capacitor and relay. Noticed a burned part on the bottom plastic and rattling sound of loose parts inside. Spliced a new compressor start kit onto the old wires. The heat shrink tubing is too big and red spade connectors go unused. 

Ordered starter relay and capacitor. Replaced both and the refrigerator now working fine. Saved over 400 dollars on repair visit. 

First off we thought we had lost a fortune in food that we had to throw away since we were out of town when this failure occurred.
