A few weeks back I began smelling a very strong chemical smell from my oven. After doing some searching on the internet it sounded like something might be melting and about to be a fire hazard so I pulled out the oven, unplugged it and sure enough, the moment I removed the back panel, I could see the terminal block had melted.
I live in a very remote place and did find a repairman who had the terminal block kit, but after buying it, found there was no grounding strip and I didn't have access to copper wire so... appliance parts pros was the best deal on the internet (Sears was horrible and every time I called in quoted a different expensive price plus shipping).
Because the terminal block had melted onto the power cord, I had to replace both the terminal block kit and the power cord.
Pretty self explanatory and appliance parts pros has a great youtube video to follow. The one thing I did have to get creative with was to use my wife's nail file to file down the connecting wire from the oven to the terminal bock to get the plastic off of it because I wasn't about to re-wire the entire oven. Also I didn't have a nut driver set so just used a small pair of needle nose pliers to really crank the nuts down.
